Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) ensures that only you can access your account. Follow these simple steps to secure your account effortlessly.
Setting Up on Mobile
Open the Uber app and go to Account.
Tap the avatar icon in the top-right corner.
Navigate to the Security tab.
Select Authenticator App, and copy the code displayed.
Open your Authenticator app.
Tap the + button and choose Manually.
Paste the code into the Secret Key field.
Add a Service name and icon. The name will auto-fill once an icon is selected.
Enter a custom Account name for easy recognition.
Return to the Uber app, enter the generated code, and confirm.
Your Uber account is now secured with 2FA!
Setting Up on PC
Log into your Uber account on a web browser.
Click on your name in the top-right corner and select Manage Account.
Go to the Security tab and choose Authenticator App.
Open the Authenticator app on your phone and tap +.
Scan the QR code on Uber’s page using your phone’s camera.
Enter the code from the Authenticator app into Uber’s confirmation screen.
