Your Epic Games account, including your Fortnite progress, is a valuable asset. Protect it from unauthorized access by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). This added layer of security ensures that even if someone gets hold of your email, they still won’t be able to access your games. Here’s how to set it up quickly and securely.

How to Enable 2FA on Epic Games
Go to the Epic Games website and log in.
In the top-right corner, click on your profile picture and select Account from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the Password & Security section.
Enter the verification code sent to your email address to proceed.
Under the Authenticator App option, click the Set Up button. A QR code will appear on your screen.
Open the Authenticator app on your phone. Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner and scan the QR code.
The app will now generate a 6-digit code for Epic Games every 30 seconds. Enter this code into the designated field on the Epic Games website before it expires.
And that’s it—your account is now protected with 2FA!
Why Enable 2FA?
Account Security: Keep your Fortnite progress and other games safe from unauthorized access.
Peace of Mind: Even if someone gets hold of your email, they won’t be able to access your account.
Exclusive Rewards: Many Epic Games features and events, including certain rewards in Fortnite, require 2FA to be enabled.
Pro Tip
You can save the backup codes provided during setup directly in your Authenticator app. These codes are stored securely and can only be accessed by you. They serve as a safety net if you ever lose access to your Authenticator app or device.
