Whether you’re organizing projects, managing databases, or collaborating with your team—your Airtable account contains valuable information. This guide walks you through enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Airtable using a secure and easy-to-use Authenticator App.

Why You Should Enable 2FA on Airtable

Even the most secure passwords can be compromised. 2FA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a time-based, one-time code (TOTP) generated by your Authenticator App—ensuring that only you can access your account.

Step-by-Step: Setting Up 2FA on Airtable

1. Log into your Airtable account

Go to airtable.com and sign in using your email and password.

2. Open your Account Settings

Click on your avatar (top-right corner) and select Account from the dropdown menu.

3. Scroll down to “Two-Factor Authentication”

Under the Security section, you’ll see an option to enable 2FA.

4. Click “Enable two-factor authentication”

A QR code will appear on your screen, ready to be scanned.

5. Open your Authenticator App

In your Authenticator App for Airtable, tap the + button and choose Scan QR Code.

6. Scan the QR Code

Point your camera at the screen to capture the code automatically.

7. Enter the 6-digit code

The app will generate a time-sensitive OTP. Type it into the field on Airtable to confirm.

✅ Success! 2FA is now active on your Airtable account.

Pro Tips

  • Save your backup codes in a secure location.

  • Avoid SMS-based 2FA—use a code-generating app for stronger protection.

  • Revisit your settings anytime to update or disable 2FA if needed.
